Bollinger bands are simple tech trading theroy, basically what the Bollinger bands do is take a 20, or 30 day moving average, and then minus and plus a variance, usually 2 so you have a moving average above +2 and a moving average below -2, when the price of a stock moves below the -2 band then its time to watch the stock, once the stock goes above the -2 band then you buy the stock. once you own the stock you hold it until it hits the -2 band, then you sell, or it goes above the +2 band, then you look to begin to sell just in the same way you bought the stock when it went below the -2 band…
Hope that helps, remember this is a theroy and not a proven way to make money, if it was proven then they never would have told anyone.
Hi,
I use it together with Keltner Channels 10.
When Bollinger Band line comes inside into Keltner Channel then it is signal for more or less significant market movement. So I’m placing stop buy/sell order.
Good luck!
With a pinch of salt!
