can you buy and sell stocks in the same trading day?
For example buy at the days low (guessing obv) and selling at the peak for the day (guessing obv)

Just to add to what he said, there’s an additional form you have to fill out and hand in to your branch office to get margin privileges. It’s available on the Scottrate website. I believe the minimum requirement is $500 to open a margin account, and unless you have $25,000 or more, you will be limited to 3 day trades per week. If you exceed this number, you will be labeled a "pattern day trader" and your account activity will be restricted.
Yes. Day trading. You can use a margin account with a minimum investment of 25,000 cash, or you can use non-margined accounts. The margin accounts recycle immediately. The non-margined money must wait 3 days before being available for investment again
