On a stock chart which is typically set for a 14 period RSI, how do I change it to a 4 period RSI?

I am trying to develop a successful trading strategy. So far, I plan on using RSI/stochastic criteria as well as positive/negative divergence. Are there any other indicators that would help me discern a buy/sell signal, specifically related to volume or support/resistance levels? Or anything else you can think of that I haven’t already?
